Institut du Savoir Montfort (ISM)
About
At the Institut du Savoir Montfort (ISM), we advance research, innovation, and education to improve care for all—while prioritizing the needs of linguistic minority communities, especially Francophone populations. Our teams develop and evaluate solutions that make healthcare more accessible, effective, and culturally and linguistically appropriate.
ISM’s research programs span clinical studies, implementation of science, and data-driven methods, including artificial intelligence for decision support, patient engagement, and system planning. Our work explores how AI can support clinical decision-making, patient engagement, and health system planning, while ensuring responsible adoption, real-world feasibility, and measurable impact on patient outcomes.
Ottawa Academic Health Network (OAHN)
About
The University of Ottawa and its teaching hospitals and research institutes signed an affiliation agreement to create the Ottawa Academic Health Network in OAHN September of 2023, signaling a mutual objective to integrate their academic missions and activities as a research and learning ecosystem to achieve more together.
The OAHN’s collaboration on research and innovation aims to enhance the quality of research, improve the research environment and ultimately augment the impact of the work of this ecosystem on quality of patient care. The education mandate of the network shares this ultimate objective of improved patient care through better coordination to optimize a decentralized health learning environment and to improve the quality of teaching and learning experiences. The network advances these objectives through better planning and coordination, and by working together to identify objectives that could not be achieved by any one member in isolation.
