Learning Crossroads (CRX)
The Learning Crossroads (CRX) is the newest state-of-the-art building on the University of Ottawa campus and will host the main two days of AIME 2026. Located on the east side of Lamoureux Hall and facing the Brooks Residences, CRX embodies the University’s vision for connected, technology-enhanced learning. The facility offers flexible classrooms, collaboration spaces, and an impressive auditorium with seating for more than 300 participants, perfectly suited for plenary sessions, keynotes, and large conference gatherings.
CRX’s design promotes natural light, open movement, and interaction between attendees. Its advanced multimedia infrastructure supports hybrid delivery, real-time data sharing, and high-quality audiovisual projection—allowing AIME 2026 to blend in-person and virtual engagement seamlessly. The building’s central location makes it easily accessible from all major campus areas, and its proximity to the Desmarais (DMS) and STEM buildings provides a cohesive experience for participants moving between sessions.
During AIME 2026, Days 2 and 3—the core conference days—will be held in CRX. These days will include plenary keynotes, parallel paper sessions, thematic panels, and networking activities across its modern lecture halls and open collaboration areas. With its elegant architecture, dynamic energy, and capacity to accommodate over 300 delegates in its main auditorium, CRX provides an inspiring and connected environment for exploring the future of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.

One of the central venues at AIME 2026 will be Desmarais Hall (DMS) auditoriums, including the Camille Villeneuve Auditorium (DMS 4101), located on the 4th floor of Desmarais Hall. This modern lecture theatre is fully equipped with advanced audiovisual technology and features comfortable, tiered seating for up to 140 attendees (theatre-style) or up to 300 for receptions. It will be used for:
- Tutorials and workshops
- Doctoral Consortium
- Networking
The surrounding floor includes adjacent smart classrooms for breakout tracks and working groups, as well as flexible lounge and foyer areas suitable for:
- Poster sessions
- Networking breaks
- Catered receptions
Desmarais Hall’s large atrium on the main floor may also be used for registration, social mixers, or industry demos.
